Much easier that having a shop vac attached. Possibly you can get one for yours. Can you safely measure the current the shop vac draws?

And I think the Ridgid version is a different sander and not a re-badged Triton. The spindle is on the LH side on the Ridgid whereas on the Triton it looks to be on the RH side.
